Abhinaya Dance Academy (ADA) training emphasizes the technical proficiency, artistic development and positive dance experience of each student, and the physical, educational and creative value of dance training.

 

ADA offers a wide variety of dance classes in and around Glasgow! Whether your aim is to take part in exam or to keep your body fit or just have fun – ADA will provide you the right path to achieve your aim. Classes in Bharatanatyam & Dancercise take place at Glasgow (Saturday), East Renfrewshire (Friday), Blantyre (Tuesday) and  East Kilbride (Thursday). 

 

Curriculum 

 

ADA with the help of recognised Europe’s leading Examination board for traditional South Indian Fine Art  in UK has put together a curriculum for Dance and Music programme of study with different grade levels as follows:

 

Foundation Year- New Students can be joined in our November new term (age 4 

and above). This course will take place once a week and after completing the 

foundation level the students will be lead to the graded examination course. Once the students complete the grade 1 exam he/she will be encouraged to participate in the stage performance.

 

Graded Examination Course – The students who have turned five by the 1st 

of September in the year of new academic session as well once completing the

foundation year can take part in the Graded Examination conduct by recognised board. 

 

Advanced Course -This course is for those who have the knowledge of 

Bharatanatyam and want to focuses on the professional training, which will lead to arangetram.

 

1-2-1 session and small group sessions -One to one session is available to both 

children , young adults those who want to concentrate more on exam grades and 

unable to join regular group classes or training for cultural events /competition.

 

Youth Group -For students who have completed Grade 3 and above can participate in the youth Group, the group will focus on Professional training and new choreography and performance work. The most recent achievements are Merchant City Festival, Common wealth Festival, Westend festival, Glasgow Mela, Celtic Connections at Royal Concert hall.

 

Adult Class-These dance form is not only for young people, we are happy to welcome mum and above 50’s learn this dance form. For most of us it was our young age dream, now it is the time to achieve through us and keep fit and socialize.
